Chunk 11

When God was ready to flood the earth in the time of Noah, He looked at what mankind had done and was ashamed that He had created them. I understand now just a little of why He felt that way. Ours is a foul and fallen world. The things in it no longer hold any appeal for me. Yet I find joy and solace in that I may serve the Lord while I am here. I may be about His work, and (hopefully) help Him reach some lost souls. I cannot enjoy the things of this world because they are so detestable to the Lord. But flowers still hold a pleasing aroma and I can still enjoy them with a purely innocent enjoyment. I thank God for the knowledge He has granted to me. I understand Him so much more fully at this time than ever before.
